The party continues in their dire straights. Bjarni has they key and is unconcernedly wandering towards the door. The fight rages as Bjarni opens the door, the huge chamber beyond is full of crushed remains of the floor that ripples as 'fish' swim below it: akin to land sharks! Jestix and Henry run in, followed by Bjarni. Ahmumstut suggests the vrock gather at the other end of their room, making our exit easier. Fria creates an illusion of 9 celestial eagles in the roof at the far end of the room as she leaves. Vulf is still raged and attacking the vrock. The thing below the rock os an ethereal purple worm : it's blinking/ advanced blinking so it can always attack on physical plane! Bjarni fights the worm and is grabbed to be swallowed. As a free action it dimension doors across the room with Bjarni in its mouth. The party run through the door and close it, Fria dimension-anchors the worm, and the boyz twonk it into oblivion (200pts+ of damage). It spits Bjarni out and he falls to the floor: leaving Vulf and Bjarni recovering from their poisons: as the monster is killed the far wall dissapears. Now there is an open passage into a chamber beyond, the far wall has a 10' statue of irridencent purple crytal golems in either corner, and a crystal hemisphere in the wall: akin to the main/opening chamber. Fria cuts up the worm getting:

• Purple worm poison * lots
• lots of BIG purple worm teeth
• blink-gland from ethereal purple worm: 500g towards an ethereal magic item
• magic cloak (to be identified) - one eyed giant
• huge great sword - one eyed giant
• magic eye - one eyed giant

Bjarni enters the next room and is asked by the voice as to which of the mages 4 designed the challenge: Cavel the magic user he replies and is correct. We are all transported to the main room where one of the hemispheres is now 'lit' : one challenge done.

We sit and rest for 15 before the voice reminds us there are still 3 challenges. We choose one of the remaining 3 at random and go through the teleportal. It opens into a huge room with an alcove/in each corner. Scattered around the stone floor are large rocks: and ursine thick-furred critter dashes up and down growling in frustration. It sees us and charges yelling “death to you all” in Ursine: it appears to be a dire-bear of gargantuan size, armed with a large club. Bjarni moves to intercept, casting a detect evil. It picks up a boulder to throw. Fria casts a ray that fails, and it throws the rock at her instead, hitting, ouch ! Isondel fireas an arrow, Vulf inspires courage. Jestix twonks it ! Fria fatigues it , Bjarni bashes it and finally Jestix stops it with titan slayer. He had a magic cloak and a club, but no armour. We press on. There is a corridor leading to another pitch dark huge room. There appears to be a “darkness” in the room. Our various moonlight/ daylight spells counter the darkness in their area of effect: there is something in the middle of the room: there is a 4' tall cylender. The room is otherwise unadorned marble. Vulf enters and sees there is a large (21' tall) figure in the room. The giant has an empty eye sock and a purple gem stone in the other. It makes no noise as it walks over the floor. He has red/violet skinned and a great sword: he is frothing at the mouth. Bjarni talks to it, it does not appear to hear him. He says

“Foolish person! the mages 4 have made me stand here for eternity : you must defeat me to get past.!”

The giant/bjarni exchange initimadations (the giant does better). The fighting starts! The giant hits Bjarni critically casuing a lot of damage ! Bjarni invokes his haste and attacks ! it's a massive exchange of wounds on both sides. The giant drops as Ahmumstut flames it. Fria dashes to investigate the gem, then the copper based post thing. Like a giant duracell battery emanating darkness. The eye-gem is magical and fria carefully removes it. We heal up a bit and press on. Along a short corridor is a slightly smaller marble chamber with a huge green-skinned creature glowering at the door. A large troll with a silver shiny metal claws and metal plates in its skin!
