====== Session 162: 11 Oct 23, day 107 ======

We visit the Head Merchant, who has lost lot of weight and looks 20 years younger. He is looking for a wife now. He is not evil. Bjarni attempts to detect motive, and thinks he my have idea's about the countess.

The merchant was convinced that the duchess dees were real, but he looks like he has been re-incarnate / resurrected, o give hime the new younger form.

Roban, search the merchants house, and find letters to and from the merchant to the countess, of a Romanic nature, Also find a trapped chest, with gold and deeds in it, has small journal, with blackmail material for residents in town.

Information found out (This puts him on Roban's shit list, something to do with his back story)

  * Major Shareholder in the Logging Guild.
  * Owns the Logging mill.
  * Right to cut down areas of woodland.
  * Hire loggers to clear areas.
  * 
Some Inhabitants of town, are making overtures to Henry.

Wulf goes to talk to magic item seller, to find out what ring he gave to the Merchant. it was a ring of protection. Merchants change happened overnight. The magic item seelect, can sense all the magic items he creates, and what happens to them.

Fria, finds chest in the freak house, containing documents about the Venom cult., also contains the Mistress of the Abyss, who was blind, but has now recovered, and is rebuilding the cult. It appears we killed the expected lord of the venom cult.

Roban, thought the venom cult may be a bunch of alchemist

We teleport down to the ice tomb level, to try to solve the problem, we cast protection spells, and go into the room. Ahum dispelled some of the magic, at which point a fire giant started to break out, Bjarni, attacked, but the giant regenerated 30 points a round. 

Jestix ran in and hit it with titan slayer, which it did not regenerate, the following round Jestix did 173 damage, to the giant killing it. The Titan Slayer staff gets new ability, once a day, cast a 60 cone of 10d6 fire damage //(Reflex save DC to come when I figure it out)//

Ahum recovered the gem from the top of the tomb, it's a gem from a staff of frost, with the extra ability to create a permanent ice prison. at the moment it caused damage to the wielder, as you have to hold it to use (2d6 cold damage - Needs adding back into a staff, to stop this)
