+The party exchange some quick words with the demon and it comes to blows: the demon blights and bear-gerlz although out of smites still manages a soild set of blows. Ahmumstut holds the demon with a hold monster and Vulf wipes it out: one round.
+We examine the tapestries and rug carefully: the rug is apparently just an old n tatty bit of cloth.  It a slowly swirling pattern on it. Vulf grabs it and shakes off an ancient cloud of dust.  Vulf attaches the two together and they join easily.  He knows this is now a 6x11' carpet of flying magic word is "raithis", the separate parts have ability; the new one is muelles ward (cast on a single room mages all entrances/surfaces immune to magic and also +10 harness) similar to the known antimagic ability of part #1. Fria tries out the slippers.
+While on the demon level the party decide to go and play with the gate to hell, just for fun.  Making their way there involves passing vraedix so we ask it some questions.

+We head back to the 'pit' and it's just as horrid as ever.  We decide to try using the ring to shut the portal.
+Bjarni uses the ring and wished the portal be closed forever-more: the ring glows and the portal's flame is put out and with some thunder & lightning the portal is gone. We all gain a +1 holy bonus for the next 24hrs.
+We fish victims out of the pit: they are insance and massively tortured.  Ahmumstut casts a heal upon an elf and he recovers! He was snatched while hunting in the forest by weird spiny things. We fish out the remaining 5.  Healing the second one they are a human snatched from Bridenforth. We herd the other victims back to the temple and teleport back up to the surface.  We have an impromtu divvy up and take the victims to the temple.

+  * Vulf visits the brass-lantern magic shop and asks about a wish to restore 'himself'. when he offers the dice of Jing the Djini (Azur Tanderin) there becomes highly interested.
+  * Jestix joins him in the all-you-can-eat magic bar: requesting a cloak of resistance +4 (17600gp)
+Azur Tanderin summons up a very very fancy scroll & container being the 'wish', he takes the dice very very carefully so they do not 'roll'.  We remember "the destroy an invunerable artefacct" challenge for the 9 arches.
+Jestix gets his +4 cloak it is made of mountain lion skin !
+Fria casts the wish on Vulf to remove the 'curse' of being a female gnome.: it works and the duck on his head becomes a glorious silver helm with a duck pattern.
+Bjarni enquires about getting his necklace refactored, possibly into a tattoo: shaman from Ahmumstut's clan and ritual on bloodrock.
+We retire to the pub to tell the tales of the Balrog...and sad death of Leonora. The party eat, heal and rest: then return via lvl 7 Glarius temple to lvl 5 in search for the remaining fragment of carpet (approx rm118/119).
+We approach lvl 5 from level 7 rm 138  walking round the lightning barrier and crossing towards the room with the carpet.  Fria is surprised by a girralon 4 armed gorilla: it attacks Fria and misses and a small green ray Fria uses in return disintegrates it completely. We bypass a yellow mould and get to the room with the unmovable carpet: and Vulf connects it to the other bits.. it's now huge.
+Perm fuse into a 12x12 carpet: (apparently the bit of carpet here had the ability that when in a room up to 1000sq ft you cannot be divined, also it can only be moved by 5' an hour except my magic) : the new whole carpet can navigate wending ways. lvl 14 has 2 entrances.
